Privacy Policy

Aspirant Arcade (“we”, “us”) is a free exam-preparation app for PSU and CBSE/NCERT (Class 9–12) aspirants. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using the app or website you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — if you sign in, your name and email address from Google Sign-In or email/password registration (via Firebase Authentication). You can use most of the app as a guest without an account.
• Usage & progress data — exams/branches/topics you practice, game sessions, scores, accuracy, bookmarks, and settings. For guests this stays on your device; once you sign in it syncs to your account.
• Analytics — anonymous usage events (e.g. games completed, screens viewed) via Google Analytics for Firebase, to understand and improve the app.
• Crash & performance data — crash logs and performance metrics via Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring, to fix bugs and improve speed.
• Device identifier — a random app-install ID used to count installs and active users. It is not linked to your real identity.

2. AI access: your Gemini key or your Puter account

If you add your own Google Gemini API key for unlimited AI questions, it is stored only in your device's encrypted secure storage. It is never sent to our servers and we never see it. AI requests go directly from your device to Google's Gemini API under your key.

You can instead connect a Puteraccount for AI access with no API key. When you do, your prompts — including question-generation requests, interview and group-discussion simulation answers, and any resume text or PDF you upload for the interview-profile feature — are sent to Puter (puter.com) under your own Puter account and billed to your own free Puter allowance, never to us. Your Puter session/token is stored only in your device's encrypted secure storage and is never sent to our servers. Puter processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Either way, your questions and answers are not collected by us as personal content.

3. How we use data

• Provide and sync your practice, progress, bookmarks, and leaderboards.
• Understand usage and improve features (analytics).
• Diagnose and fix crashes and performance issues.
• Maintain security and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Third-party services

• Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore (data storage), Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring.
• Google Gemini API — AI question generation, using your own key (where provided).
• Puter (puter.com) — an alternative, keyless AI access option. When connected, your prompts (including interview/GD answers and any resume you upload) are sent to Puter under your own Puter account, billed to your free Puter allowance.

These services process data under Google's privacy policy. The Focus Mode feature (Android) uses device permissions only to detect when Instagram/YouTube Reels or Shorts are open — it reads the foreground app and screen name, never your messages, content, or the videos, and nothing from those apps leaves your device.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep account data while your account exists. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account) or by requesting deletion at aspirant-arcade.xyz/delete-account.

6. Children

The app is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
