PSEB supplementary results 2026: Rechecking and revaluation process

Understand the PSEB supplementary result 2026 rechecking and revaluation process. Critical steps and deadlines for Class 10 and 12 students before Sept 21.

What's Official

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the results for the 2026 supplementary examinations. The Class 12 Senior Secondary results were released on August 25, 2026, followed by the Class 10 Matriculation results on August 28, 2026. For students who believe their results do not reflect their actual performance, the board has initiated an online portal for rechecking and revaluation.

The application window opened on September 7, 2026, and will remain active until September 21, 2026. All applications must be submitted through the official portal at pseb.ac.in. Please note that these dates are final, and no late submissions will be entertained by the board.

Rechecking vs Revaluation: Understanding the Risks

Before applying, it is vital to distinguish between the available services. Rechecking is a purely technical process where the board verifies that all questions have been marked and the total scores have been summed correctly. The examiner does not re-evaluate the content of your answers. This is the safest route if you suspect a calculation error.

Revaluation, however, involves a completely new assessment of your answer sheet by a different examiner. This process carries inherent risks, as your score could increase, decrease, or remain stagnant. Crucially, the final result post-revaluation is binding and cannot be contested. I often tell students that if you are using your study time to prepare for future competitive exams, such as banking or state police recruitments on Aspirant Arcade, you should treat your time as a limited resource and only choose revaluation if there is a significant, evidence-based discrepancy in your marks.

Tip

Requesting a scanned copy of your answer sheet is the most prudent first step. It allows you to audit the evaluation manually before committing to the risks of full revaluation.

Eligibility and Scope

  • Only theory papers are eligible for the revaluation process.
  • Practical examination marks are excluded from this review process.
  • Applicants must have their original Reference Number and Roll Number handy for the online application.
  • The process is entirely online; physical forms sent to the board office will not be processed.

How to Apply

The application process is centralized and fully digital. Access the official PSEB website and navigate to the 'News' or 'Press Release' section to locate the rechecking and revaluation link. You will be prompted to enter your credentials, specifically your Reference Number and Roll Number, which were provided during your initial registration. Ensure that your contact details on the portal are current, as future communication regarding your request will be directed to these channels.

Frequently Asked

Can my marks decrease if I apply for revaluation?

Yes. When you apply for revaluation, your answer sheet is re-examined entirely. The new score becomes final regardless of whether it is higher or lower than the original.

Is there a difference in fee between rechecking and revaluation?

Yes. Rechecking is typically treated as a clerical verification, whereas revaluation involves a subject expert. Refer to the fee schedule displayed on the PSEB portal during the application submission.

What should I do if I cannot find my Reference Number?

Check the email ID and mobile number registered during your exam application. If it is missing, consult your school administration or refer to the official support contact on the PSEB website.

Can I apply for revaluation for my practical exams?

No. The PSEB revaluation process is strictly limited to theory papers. Practical marks are not subject to challenge through this portal.

Is the outcome of the rechecking final?

Yes. Once the process is completed and the result is published by the board, no further appeals or re-reviews are permitted.
